Kosher or not, designing a kitchen is as much a science as it is an art. However, designing a kitchen based on certain dietary requirements can be a huge task. The layout we chose for the kosher kitchen, where separate preparation and cooking areas are required, is C-shaped. It consists on one side of tall cabinets and on the other side of the classic combination of base and wall cabinets, and with an elongated island that ends in a dining room. The feeling of being spacious yet functional is maximized. With the hidden appliances, behind the pocket doors, the built-in hood on the island, the tidy products in the pantry and drawers, the kitchen always looks clean and tidy. Now, daily activities, even with kosher requirements, such as cooking and preparing morning coffee, are almost invisible and combined with relaxation in a wonderful, light-filled room.
